Matthew K. Blaine, Litigation Partner and Chair of the firm’s Innovation & Technology Committee, will be speaking at the 2017 Information Governance Conference at the Rhode Island Convention Center. He will be among the panelists covering “Navigating Information Governance Within the Corporate Legal Culture.”
The panelists will explore key strategies that can be adopted in the quest to bring about an Information Governance roadmap to the Office of the General Counsel (OGC)/Corporate Legal Department (CLD), and put organizations on the path to IG excellence.
Among the takeaways:
- Developing a better understanding of the internal structures, goals, and politics existing between the CLD/OGC & Enterprise teams;
- Identifying how to better serve the CLD/OGC client and provide improved processes for the CLD/OGC to support their internal constituents/business units;
- Understanding the moving parts and requirements involved in collaborating with external clients, vendors, and outside counsel;
- Managing the risk which is involved on a wide range of levels throughout the enterprise and, specifically, within those areas which fall under the control of the OGC/CLD.
